THE SPARK OF GENIUS
The Spark of Genius is the largest startup competition in, we reckon, the world. We're searching the planet for 200 incredible startups to pitch in front of over 5,000 attendees from around the world this coming October at the Web Summit in Dublin. Half of these finalists will be sourced from our Pub Summits.
For each Pub Summit, startups can submit an application. We'll then open up voting to the public. The most popular startup for each city will be fast-tracked to Day 1 at the Dublin Web Summit.
THE RETURN OF OUR PUB SUMMIT SERIES
Tech is all about the new new thing, and in 2012, we held 50 invite-only meet ups - or what we call "Pub Summits" - mostly in Europe, in search of the new new thing. We met some incredible startups, investors, bloggers, incubators and more, and then invited the most interesting and promising to the Web Summit, F.ounders and more.
In 2013, we'll cover over 100 cities in our search. So, if you think you're that startup or incubator, investor or blogger, or know that person, you'll find the 1-minute application details here for startups and here for investors, incubators, bloggers, advisors and more. You can even apply to cohost a Pub Summit here if we haven't announced your city yet - we want to host Pub Summit's in some really remote places, so don't hesitate applying even if you live in Samoa.
